Ladies Midwest Meetup - Benefits of an All Female Fishing Trip
This was Becca’s first time fishing, and first catch; a nice size crappie!
You know when you experience something that you’ve never done before, and it ends up rocking your world? Yeah, that’s what happened a few weekends ago at the first annual, Ladies Midwest Meetup put on by Alicia Thompson. Through fishing with twenty-one other like-minded outdoorswomen, I came away with many new friends, memories, and a renewed sense of confidence in my capabilities as an angler.
Honestly, my husband thought I was crazy to go on a fishing trip with random women that I’d never met in person; we only had connected online. At one point, he even asked me if I was SURE that these were in fact WOMEN, and not some “Craigslist Killers” lol. But he also isn’t on any social media platforms, and doesn’t realize how long I’ve been “connected” with some of them.
In this episode, I was able to get about 8 of the women on the line to share about the weekend.
